The most important thing is that a recruiter can quickly find your contact details, experience, qualifications and availability.
Use a simple, readable layout
Recruitment for production, warehouse or logistics work is about specific information. Your CV does not need several pages or complicated graphics. One clear page is often enough, especially if you have limited experience.
Use clear headings, one font and calm colours. The document should also be easy to read on a phone because many recruiters open applications on mobile devices.
Which details should appear first?
- full name,
- telephone number with the correct country code,
- email address,
- city of residence,
- information about willingness to travel or relocate.
You do not need to include your full home address or information that is unnecessary for contact. Make sure the telephone number is current and that you check your email regularly.
How should you describe your experience?
Start with your most recent job. Include the position, company or industry and approximate period of employment. Then add a few short bullet points describing the tasks you actually performed.
Order picking, scanner operation, packing parcels, quality control, shift work or forklift operation help the recruiter match you to the right offer.
Do not exaggerate your skills. The recruiter may ask for details and your knowledge will quickly be verified at work. Honest information makes it easier to find a role you can perform confidently.
What if you have no experience?
No experience does not mean an empty CV. Include seasonal jobs, internships, volunteering or responsibilities that required punctuality, accuracy and teamwork.
You can add a short “About me” section, for example: “I am available for shift work, learn quickly and can start immediately.” The statement should be true and relevant to the job.
Qualifications, languages and additional information
Use a separate section for qualifications that may matter in the role. These can include forklift licences, a driving licence, experience with a warehouse system or knowledge of a foreign language.
It is also useful to mention:
- availability for shift work,
- the exact date from which you can start,
- the possibility of travelling in your own car,
- interest in employee accommodation.
Should you add a photograph?
A photograph should not determine whether you are hired. If you decide to include one, choose a neutral, recent image with your face clearly visible. Avoid party photographs, strong filters and random crops.
If you do not have a suitable photograph, send the CV without one. Clear information is more important.
Common mistakes
The recruiter cannot confirm your interest or share important details.
It is unclear which tasks you actually performed.
A photo of a sheet of paper or an unusual file format makes recruitment more difficult.
Which file format should you use?
PDF is the safest option because the layout remains the same on different devices. Use a simple file name, such as “Anna-Kowalska-CV.pdf”.
Before sending, check your telephone number, spelling and whether the file opens correctly. A good CV should make the conversation easier — it does not need to tell your entire career story.
